Disclosures

GumGum wishes to share the following disclosures with our Clients:

  • Verity delivers contextual and brand safety classifications based on the core content of each web page that it processes. 

  • Verity does not consider User Generated Content (UGC), user comments, related content, or social plugins when analyzing a web page for contextual and brand safety classification.

  • Verity does not perform any ad serving or ad server decisioning. Verity does not have a mechanism for determining Invalid Traffic (IVT) or measuring ad adjacency. These mechanisms are outside the scope of Verity’s service.

  • Verity does not maintain, or scrape web pages for, any user or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

  • Verity can provide usage reports upon request, along with invoices (monthly, quarterly, or annually). Verity does not retain responsibility for variance analysis over billing to detect any usage spikes or fraudulent activity.

  • Verity provides Clients with secure user credentials. Clients are thereafter responsible for maintaining security over their credentials.

Misuse of Data

As stated in Verity Client Contracts, misuse of Verity data is prohibited. Subscribers shall not:

(a) license, sublicense, sell, resell, rent, timeshare, transfer, assign, distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit or make available in any way to any third party any service or software or other materials or information included with the API;

(b) make derivative works of, or otherwise modify, any API;

(c) create Internet "links" to any API on any server or wireless or Internet-based device; or

(d) reverse engineer or access any API in order to (i) build a competitive product or service, (ii) build a product using ideas, features, functions, or graphics similar to any API, or (iii) copy any ideas, features, functions, or graphics of the API.

Subscriber shall not use any API in any way that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any person, including without limitation GumGum.
