Sharing DV360 Channel Access with Elastic.io

Sharing DV360 Channel Access with Elastic.io

Context

Once Playground XYZ have shared an account with you to Elastic.io you can log activate your account then follow these steps to share your DV360 credentials.

When completing this for the first time, this same process will be covered off in a kick-off call with your Playground xyz AIP client services rep.

What is Elastic.io

Elastic.io is a partner we use to run optimisation on DV360. Using elastic.io allows us very limited API access to push data into specific advertiser channels, without giving us access to any other area of the platform.

Process

  1. Click on “Credentials” under the “Integrate” heading on the left, then select the tile called “REST API V2” (Fig 1.)

2. Click on settings button (three dots) for the credential with a name starting with: “AIP DV360 Auth” and click ‘Edit Credential’. There should only be one credential option on this page (Fig 2).

3. In the settings for the credential click on the button that says “Authenticate” (Fig 3).

4. Step 3 should result in a new window opening which allows you to sign in with Google (Fig 4). If you have multiple Google accounts then please select the one which has the required access to create and modify Channels in DV360 under the Advertiser for the campaign. Follow the prompts to allow access.

5. Once the sign in process is finished you can return to Elastic.io and press “Verify” (Fig 5) - this should take a moment then notify you once complete. After the credential has been verified click “Save”

6. Notify your contact at Playground XYZ once this process is complete. They will then create a new Channel in your DV360 account through Elastic.io and if all is successful then you will be able to apply this optimisation channel to your optimised line items in DV360. Please follow the instructions here for how to do so: Targeting your optimisation channel in DV360
